In a surprising partnership that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the official statement, "A mysterious meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret group.
The adventure centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content
Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with numerous items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
